FAQs

What do I do in case of an emergency?
In the case of an emergency, please call 911.

Do the doctors admit to the hospital?
Our doctors do admit to the hospital and round on their patients throughout the day.

When can I expect my prescription request to be handled?
To avoid discrepancies in prescriptions, we refill prescriptions during office visits. Please bring all of your medications or a medication list with you to your appointment. Be advised that we require 24 hours to complete prescription refill requests made outside of an appointment. If a prior authorization is needed for your prescription, we require five working days to complete the request.

Why don’t I have more refills on my prescription that I take frequently?
The doctor prescribes enough medication for you so that you do not run out between recommended visits. Depending upon your diagnosis, the doctor will want to check you periodically. If you are running low on medication, please call our office to schedule an appointment or laboratory visit.

Will my medication be covered by my insurance?
Most medications are covered by insurance. Insurance coverage and out-of-pocket expenses vary by insurance company policy. We encourage patients to contact their insurance company if they have questions.
